Thank you so much for wanting to get to know me and this site a bit more...
not too long ago i was in your same footsteps
I created S.B.C to help entrepreneurs like you focus on creating the transformation you desire with your business without having to grind so much that you forget why you are doing it all in the first place.
here are some of the things you'll find here:
If this sounds good to you, welcome home!
The best advise I can give you is to follow what works from trusted sources guided by your own values and voice. Start with baby steps, be courageous, consistent, and take the process at your own PACE. We all have what it takes to make it in this business game.
If you'd like to get to know me better, here's my story and the key lessons learned along the way...
When I was young and poor I was brought to America with the notion to work super hard to pursue the American Dream
I grew up wanting out of life what I felt everyone else had. I didn’t want the less I was used to. So I learned to make conservative choices working hard to achieve the things I thought others wanted of me. I became the first in my family to go to a university and get a degree (In Finance).
By my mid 20s I had already purchased my first property, had an amazing big wedding, and settled into a great paying corporate job in Accounting.
By my mid 30s, I’d “made it”! I’d become a father to my amazing son, I was a controller for a venture-funded multi-million start-up tech company making a six+ figure income and had the ambition to keep climbing that corporate ladder. I had big boy toys in the garage, a pleasant house for my family, newer cars, and two-income properties. The American Dream achieved!
What most people outside of my immediate family don’t know is that I did all this as an undocumented immigrant who was raised by an alcoholic mother.
I’m no longer undocumented **major sign of relief**as I earned my elusive permanent green card on November 3rd, 2017 at 11:04:29 AM and I'm currently in the process of obtaining my citizenship.

Then I got laid off from my “Safe Job”!
My team had just finished a grueling multi-year financial audit that was a grand success.
All my colleagues, the board showered me with praise.
Shortly after, the CEO brought in a new CFO to take the company to the promised land of going public. Turns out I was not part of his plan.
It didn’t matter the value I added, the sacrifices made, or what long hours I put in.
After the gut punch set in, the wheels inside my head started turning for the opportunity to step out of my shell. In hindsight, I was not enjoying that position and part of me felt I was doing it mainly for the good pay.
LESSON: I learned that I can fail in what I don’t want, so I might as well take a chance on doing something else I enjoy.
Learning from Grief and Loss
The following year my dear friend Liz died 6 months after being diagnosed with Leukemia.
Liz was a successful entrepreneur mother of 3 wonderful children in her early 30’s who was going through a difficult divorce. She died wanting to explore the world, fall in love again, and see her children grow.
It wasn’t fair, but it was reality.
If you think there will always be tomorrow, think again.

LESSON: I learned that conventional routes and life itself have NO guarantees. Put yourself in the control of something other than yourself and even if you work hard, you can’t be certain you’ll get what you want.
Minimalism and A Tiny House
In my search for a new career and to do whatever I could to sustain my new path a friend referred me to the World Domination Summit for unconventional thinkers.
WTF is the WDS? My thoughts were the same.
WDS was my first taste at people doing amazing things to earn a living, impacting others, and making a bigger difference with community, service and adventure. People from all walks of life doing things unconventionally.
This conference motivated me to think outside the box and I set out to explore the world of minimalism, self development, and online business which led to shedding a lot of crap off my plate. I got rid of massive amounts of stuff, got out of debt, and self-built a tiny house on wheels which I call theBigCasita.
It was a path to escape my conventional ways, not conform, and help with the high cost of living in Los Angeles.

Have you noticed how we are conditioned to follow a paved out path? Something that looks like this:
Success defined by:
Get a degree. Get a mortgage. Get in debt. Play it safe. Work hard to earn the promotions and put in long years to enjoy the fruits of your labor in retirement.
What happens if you don’t want that path or feel you are tired of it?
What happens when you feel you don’t fit that mold anymore?
What I'm Up To Now
Resiliency through the struggle has led me to a path of self-awareness. I’m not one of those gurus here telling you how I’ve made millions and if you follow my direct path, you can do the same.
It’s challenging, I’ve been putting in hard work for the last several years reprogramming what’s in my head, learning alternative methods to make a living, escaping corporate life, and diving into the world of online business.
There’s been a lot of ups and downs, successes and failures.
I’ve plowed through much of my savings fiddling in various business ideas that were not not fulfilling.
But every time I failed I learned something. I gained more clarity over the transformation I want for myself and others. And where I have failed, I will provide value for others to succeed.
Today I’m working on building important purpose-driven online businesses and organizations such as LATCH Collective and being part of the board that runs an amazing Soccer organization with the Los Angeles Soccer Club.
I’m becoming a better father and working with amazing people building purpose-driven businesses.
I’m taking my 19+ years of business experience and teaching the importance of business fundamentals and financial health. I'm telling my story in the hopes that it will inspire others to make the transformation they desire. Are you ready to embark on this journey with me?

LESSON: Find out what it is you want and go after it. Be persistent to get it and consistent to keep it. What's your next step?
Think about how you want to run your business so that it gives your life a sense of value and the resources you need to make an impact
Take on that big business idea you decided was too challenging. Envision it, get motivated by it, write it down and put it out there so you work on it. Create a roadmap so you have your playbook to make it happen. I'll have resources here that can help. And If you need help creating that playbook, let’s talk about it.
